What is a Mobile Notary?
A mobile notary, also known as a mobile notary public, or a traveling notary, is a state commissioned notary public that travels to the location of the signer for the purpose of notarizing their documents. A mobile notary will travel to just about any location. For example: Hospitals, nursing homes, rehab centers, assisted living facilities etc Work place Parking lots Parks Homes Restaurants, coffee shops There are any number of situations where a signer cannot go to a notary, such as illness or injury, or perhaps one’s work schedule doesn’t allow it. In these instances, having a mobile notary come to you provides a much needed service and convenience. Each state governs what a mobile notary may or may not charge. In California, a notarization m ay not be more than $15 per signature. The travel fee charged is not regulated in California except to say that the mobile notary must disclose the travel fee amount to the signer. Often times, the travel fe
